St. Francis Xavier School Centennial Plaza
Building the Foundation for the Next Century of
Academic Excellence and Faith in Action
Past...Present...Future

January 10, 2010 marked the 100th anniversary of St. Francis Xavier School. From its humble beginnings as a single, stucco framed structure housing 37 students, SFX has touched the lives of many generations of children and parents.

Today, St. Francis Xavier School is known as a leader in academic excellence rooted in an environment of faith and service to others. Current enrollment has grown to well over 300 students. Preschool enrollment alone is up over 50% in the past two years with another large class projected for the coming academic year. Despite the many challenges that lay ahead, St. Francis Xavier School is poised for continued growth and success for the next 100 years and beyond.

The Purpose of the Centennial Capital Campaign
Plaza Map

Our mission is to ensure that our second century builds upon the remarkable achievements of the first. To that end, we have established the Centennial Capital Campaign. This campaign will be spearheaded through the construction of an elegant new Centennial Plaza located between the East and West buildings, essentially creating a grand new entrance to the school. Plans include a redesigned stairway for the East building, benches and planters. New framed pavers will define the drop-off area to improve safety and aesthetics. The design features beautiful, distinctive brick pavers that will be available for sponsorship and personalization.

The plaza serves as a vehicle for fundraising as the cost of construction has been generously underwritten by several SFX families. 100% of the proceeds from brick sales will fund important school initiatives including:

  • Creation of a dedicated science lab
  • Preschool expansion
  • Technology
  • The St. Francis Xavier School Endowment
